Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Roane County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to answer it. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Every time a page on this site loads, our servers pick up some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device

- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any

No Court-Record Data on File
Roane County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to the Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, trial courts, municipal clerks, and Tennessee Public Court Records System. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner controls its retention and sharing rules, so review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable standard safeguards protect collected data. No internet service can promise perfect security, however, and a breach can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when brought to the operator's attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Tennessee and federal privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide rights over personal data. Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 and the Tennessee Public Records Act govern access to official court and government records, not visitor data held by this private site. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
